I only give it four stars since sometimes it can have trouble identifying aspects of a page/paper. I recently came across one interesting "quirk" where it can't generate a citation if the page it too long, which is understandable at times. I always make sure to double check the citation it generates since there can be some variances. I recommend all to do this when it comes to these types of tools, so that is par for the course. A formatting shortcut I use when having issues generating an accurate citation is to copy/paste a citation to use as a "fill in the blanks" for the relevant source information so I don't have to go through the document formatting. Helps to maintain consistency even if this tool has trouble with a specific page. I am still saving time compared to typing/formatting every reference without it.

I was in a pinch as I work and I am in college and had to write a six page essay. I attempted to get it proofread and create the citations from the URLS I used, none of it worked.I was running out of time so it was very inconvenient. It's not free, every time you attempt to do anything, it asks you to buy the subscription.?

doesn't work...

Pretty disappointed and a little surprised. As I was researching for a paper, and came across a relevant source I would like to cite, I would press the "add to list" button through the plug-in icon, to the right of the address field. Well, when it came to time to retrieve these citations, there was no list. It is a rather long story? I reached out to Scribbr and Matteo replied and he was as helpful as could be and very quick in his responses. I genuinely felt he cared. After unsuccessfully trying to get my list with Matteo's help, I discovered that I can create a list, but when you click the "create list" button you are taken back to the "Scribbr Citation Generator" web page. A lot of circular... on the webpage. It is a pretty cool plug-in despite the imaginary list. You can edit a citation, easily copy, ... Possibly it is my version of Chrome? I was never able to get my list. If you do use this plug-in, I would copy and paste into your works cited page as you go along.

I just don't understand why I have to log in every 10 minutes. What is the point of having a browser extension if you have to be redirected to the website almost every time you want to cite something.

This was working fine until it wasn't. I put the sources in and it cited my resources but when it comes to linking it to my Google Docs it keeps taking me to the add to Chrome Extension. I have already added it to my Chrome Extension. This is very frustrating as my professor wants me to cite everything down to the letter and there is no way for me to transfer the citations over to my Google Docs!! Please fix this!!

Lenard Andrew Birondo

Currently, it cites randomly.

GREAT CITATION THING! I USE IT FOR EVERYTHING I <3 Scribbr!

Good: 1. is convenient being an extension 2. makes webpage journal articles easy to cite Bad: 1. the only thing that is easy to cite is journal articles that load as a webpage 2. will not cite PDFs - increasing numbers of documents are PDFs 3. Useless at properly citing government websites eg the Australian Government Therapeutic Goods Administration - the equivalent of the FDA - is cited as "T.G. Administration". 4. Useless at finding dates - many times the year is in the content but cited "n.d" 5. Manual citing takes ages and the categories are insufficient for scientists Recommendation: Use MyBib extension - not perfect but better than Scribbr, on the rarer occasion when manual is needed still use Scrbbr. Reasons for MyBib (does everything Scribbr does plus:) - Cites PDFs - Much more reliable and faster login But MyBib still doesn't cite government sites properly: Therapeutic Goods Administration is "Goods,T."
